Les motifs de flaques \u00e0 Berri, les carreaux qui s&rsquo;effritent \u00e0 Lionel-Groulx, les \u00e9chafaudages permanents \u00e0 McGill \u2013 ces d\u00e9fauts sont devenus de v\u00e9ritables points de rep\u00e8re pour les navetteurs quotidiens.<\/p>\n<p>La r\u00e9alit\u00e9 derri\u00e8re ces observations est maintenant clairement document\u00e9e. Selon un rapport complet sur l&rsquo;infrastructure publi\u00e9 la semaine derni\u00e8re par la <strong>Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 de transport de Montr\u00e9al (STM)<\/strong>, pr\u00e8s de la moiti\u00e9 de nos stations de m\u00e9tro sont actuellement en mauvais ou tr\u00e8s mauvais \u00e9tat. Plus pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment, 34 des 68 stations de m\u00e9tro de Montr\u00e9al ont re\u00e7u une note \u00ab\u00a0D\u00a0\u00bb ou \u00ab\u00a0E\u00a0\u00bb, refl\u00e9tant une d\u00e9t\u00e9rioration importante \u00e0 travers le r\u00e9seau.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Nous faisons face aux cons\u00e9quences de d\u00e9cennies d&rsquo;entretien diff\u00e9r\u00e9,\u00a0\u00bb explique Jean Trudeau, consultant en ing\u00e9nierie et sp\u00e9cialiste en infrastructure qui \u00e9tudie les syst\u00e8mes de transport de Montr\u00e9al depuis plus de 15 ans. \u00ab\u00a0Le r\u00e9seau de m\u00e9tro a \u00e9t\u00e9 construit dans les ann\u00e9es 1960 pour l&rsquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/expo67.ncf.ca\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Expo 67<\/a> et \u00e9tendu dans les ann\u00e9es 1970 et 1980. De nombreuses stations montrent maintenant leur \u00e2ge simultan\u00e9ment.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Le rapport identifie <strong>l&rsquo;infiltration d&rsquo;eau<\/strong> comme le probl\u00e8me le plus r\u00e9pandu, affectant 27 stations \u00e0 divers degr\u00e9s. Les cycles de gel-d\u00e9gel du climat rigoureux de Montr\u00e9al ont particuli\u00e8rement affect\u00e9 les stations avec des entr\u00e9es ext\u00e9rieures ou des syst\u00e8mes de ventilation, cr\u00e9ant des vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9s structurelles qui s&rsquo;aggravent exponentiellement lorsqu&rsquo;elles ne sont pas trait\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p>J&rsquo;ai parl\u00e9 avec Marie Charbonneau, employ\u00e9e d&rsquo;entretien \u00e0 la STM qui travaille pour l&rsquo;organisation depuis 22 ans, lors de mon trajet habituel du jeudi matin. \u00ab\u00a0Nous r\u00e9parons constamment, mais c&rsquo;est comme mettre des pansements sur quelque chose qui n\u00e9cessite une chirurgie,\u00a0\u00bb m&rsquo;a-t-elle confi\u00e9 tout en dirigeant les passagers loin d&rsquo;une section cordonn\u00e9e \u00e0 la station Place-des-Arts. \u00ab\u00a0Le public ne voit que les probl\u00e8mes de surface \u2013 les vrais probl\u00e8mes sont plus profonds dans la structure.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>La situation financi\u00e8re complique davantage les choses. <a href=\"https:\/\/montrealgazette.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">La Gazette de Montr\u00e9al<\/a> rapporte que la STM fait face \u00e0 un arri\u00e9r\u00e9 d&rsquo;entretien estim\u00e9 \u00e0 <strong>4,5 milliards de dollars<\/strong>. Le financement provincial a l\u00e9g\u00e8rement augment\u00e9 ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, mais les experts s&rsquo;accordent \u00e0 dire qu&rsquo;il est loin de combler le d\u00e9ficit accumul\u00e9 d&rsquo;investissement dans l&rsquo;infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>Le plus pr\u00e9occupant est peut-\u00eatre l&rsquo;impact potentiel sur la s\u00e9curit\u00e9.
